THERMIX SPACE

THERMIX is an initiative born from the collaboration of university students from Rome and Milan. It aims to improve the energy efficiency of buildings, with a special focus on historic villages and areas surrounding internationally significant cultural heritage sites. Space data, primarily Earth Observation data, supported by an AI engine, allows for ‘personalized’ information about the roofs in the targeted areas. The goal is to produce a positive impact on the environment. The pilot case is in Verona, around the Arena.

SAFEGUARDING THE PROSECCO HILLS is a project born from the collaboration of university students from Trento and Milan. Using satellite data, especially from the Copernicus constellation, the project aims to monitor the vineyards of the UNESCO site in the Prosecco Hills of Valdobbiadene and Conegliano. The goal is to prevent the negative effects of climate change and improve water resource management. COASTinVENETO

USING SATELLITE DATA TO TRACK COASTAL EROSION IN THE VENETIAN REGION is an idea born from three young French students from Parisian universities. According to some international studies, protecting the city of Venice, its lagoon ecosystem, and cultural heritage depends on managing the nearby coasts. Earth Observation data is a crucial tool for monitoring coastal erosion and identifying activities that could harm the world’s most famous Venetian UNESCO site, promoting sustainable management of the Venetian coastal areas. Pilot case: Venice and its Lagoon.
